Week 16: The Los Angeles Rams continue their losing streak, dropping another game to the San Francisco 49ers 22-21

In déjà vu fashion, the Los Angeles Rams lose to the San Francisco 49ers 22-21 this Saturday, Dec. 24th. Just like the game against the Miami Dolphins, the Rams gave up a double-digit lead late in the fourth quarter. The 49ers scored with just .31 seconds remaining, and then successfully executed a two-point conversion to get the win.

Rams’ quarterback Jared Goff completed 11 of 24 passes for 90 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions. Todd Gurley carried the ball 23 times for 67 yards and a touchdown. The Rams’ defense sacked Colin Kaepernick four times (Aaron Donald 1, Eugene Sims 1, Blake Countess 1 and Dominique Easley 1). Cody Davis intercepted Kaepernick as well.

Kaepernick completed 28 of 38 passes for 266 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Kaepernick also ran in the two-point conversion to seal the win.

The Rams’ defense failed to hold a 14-point lead and struggled down the stretch. This is another loss that the Rams have suffered when they should have had the victory.

The 4-11 Rams will host the 6-8-1 Arizona Cardinals next Sunday, New Years Day at 1:25 AM PDT for their final game of the season.
