The Los Angeles Rams dropped their fifth game in a row when they suffered another embarrassing 24-3 loss at the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday, December 15. The Rams have now lost 9 of 10 games and sit at 4-10 on the season. The Seahawks clinch the NFC West with the win.
Newly promoted Interim Head Coach John Fassel took over the team after Jeff Fisher was fired earlier in the week. With nothing to lose, Fassel took some risks that didn’t pay off for the Rams. A failed fourth down and one attempt failed in the red zone and Johnny Hekker threw an incomplete pass on a failed fake punt attempt.
Seahawks’ quarterback Russel Wilson completed 19 of 26 passes for 229 yards, three touchdowns and an interception. Seattle’s defense collected four sacks and held the Rams to 183 yards of offense.
Goff completed 13 of 25 passes for 135 yards for the Rams. Running back Todd Gurleys slump continued again on Thursday, gaining only 38 yards on 14 carries. The Rams’ defense collected two sacks and an interception, but allowed 299 yards of offense.
The Rams will host the San Francisco 49ers next Saturday, December 24 at 1:25 PM PDT.
