The St. Louis Rams signed former Atlanta Falcons linebacker Pat Schiller per his agent, David Lee. Contract details have yet to be announced.
Schiller is mostly remembered from his time spent playing at Northern Illinois. The 6’2, 235 pound linebacker tallied 239 career tackles, 115 of which came during his senior season.
The Falcons then signed him as an undrafted free agent where he remained on the practice squad. He did not participate in any NFL regular season games.
The Rams bring in Schiller just two days after news broke about fellow linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar being arrested after an altercation outside a Miami Beach nightclub. It isn’t clear yet if the league or the Rams plan on taking any further action.
Schiller has also been added just in time for the Rams’ training camp which is set to begin on July 25. He will need to play catch up in order for him to earn a spot on the roster or even on the practice squad.
