Surprise cut: RB John Kelly

This is the first time in awhile that the Rams are rolling with only three running backs. Kelly didn’t have as many snaps as Darrell Henderson. But, it was thought that Kelly did well enough to stay on the roster. I thought he did well enough in the preseason to earn a spot, but the decision to keep only three running backs factored in the decision to cut him. Kelly is the second player to be cut from the 2018 NFL Draft class.
