Week 8 ended with a defensive war on Monday Night Football between two NFC West rivals, the Seattle Seahawks and the St. Louis Rams. It came down to the last play, but the Seahawks held off the Rams to a 14-9 victory. Seattle improved to 7-1 on the season, while the Rams dropped to 3-5. The San Francisco 49ers were watching the game closely after they improved their record to 6-2 with a 42-10 thrashing over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Arizona Cardinals didn’t gain any ground despite earning a 27-13 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. The Cardinals improved their record to 4-4.
