When Henderson was drafted, fans worried about Todd Gurley’s knee. True, the Rams do need to preserve Gurley, but Henderson is a quick and agile back. He is not the type of downhill runner that Gurley is, which gives the Rams a change of pace back.
Sean McVay channeled his inner Nostradamus on how they would get Henderson in behind the scenes footage, during the draft. Henderson was their guy and they were going to get him. Granted, Henderson still has a lot to prove, but he has the potential to be the Rams’ offensive X-factor this year. McVay obviously has plans on how to use him. If Henderson pans out, Gurley will benefit from his help and the Rams backfield becomes the most dangerous one in the league.
