Notre Dame EDGE Julian Okwara
This is not a great year for EDGE prospects, so it’s possible that Okwara will not be there at pick 52. That said, of all the guys listed, he’s probably the most likely to be available. There’s plenty to love about Okwara. From his size, to his overall strength, but an additional bonus is his coverage skills. That’s exactly the type of player that would thrive in the Rams’ 3-4 defensive scheme. While it wouldn’t hurt for Okwara to bulk up a bit, his bull-rushes are undeniable.
The Rams have a clear need at EDGE, even with the addition of Leonard Floyd. An Okwara and Floyd combo is intriguing. Plus, the Rams still have Samson Ebukam that could share the workload too. The Rams will need to find a replacement for Clay Matthews at some point. For more information on Okwara, feel free to read his draft profile.
