Baylor WR Denzel Mims
Despite the Rams trading Brandin Cooks, wide receiver still isn’t a pressing need for the Los Angeles Rams. Here’s the thing, wide receiver is probably the deepest position in the 2020 NFL Draft. Meaning the Rams could potentially land a first round talent like Mims and receive a much higher value of a player, rather than targeting a position of need.
In the case of Mims, he not only contributed well during his collegiate career at Baylor, he is probably the best fit for the Rams out of any wide receiver in the NFL Draft. Mims is pure athleticism that’s tough enough to make some catches in the middles of the field and would absolutely be beneficial in slants. Pairing him up with Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods could potentially be a scary receiving corps.
Keep in mind that the Rams offense is changing quite a bit, so expect many short-mid range passes. If the Rams could somehow nab Mims, they should absolutely do it. Read more about Mims here.
