Linebacker Mark Barron enters his seventh overall season in the league and his fourth with the Rams. Originally drafted as a safety in the first round by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2012, Barron struggled to find his footing in Tampa Bay’s system and was traded to the Rams during the 2014 season. When the Rams were forced to move Barron to linebacker, he flourished, leading the team in tackles in 2015. With defensive coordinator Wade Phillips coming in and installing a new defensive system, Barron will be switching from outside to inside linebacker. Position changes are nothing new for him.
