Marqui Christian was a fifth round draft pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2016. He was waived that same year and the Rams scooped him up before he landed on the injured reserve. In 2018, Christian earned a role as a reserve safety, and in 2019, he flourished at times in his role. Though he isn’t a starter, Christian is a good role player with value as a spot starter if need be. Eric Weddle is likely not back in 2020, which means the Rams could be awfully thin at the safety position if Christian leaves. A 3-year/$9 million deal would probably keep Christian in horns for the foreseeable future.
