Former Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Kenny Britt is expected to sign with the Cleveland Browns. He is reportedly expected to earn $32.5 million in four years with $17 million guaranteed, according to NFL Insider Adam Caplan.
Britt had the best season of his career with the Rams last year finishing with 1,002 receiving yards. He was the most productive offensive player for the Rams, but did disappear at times late in the season. This leaves the Rams with Tavon Austin as their No. 1 receiver on the roster currently.
It was expected that Britt would not be returning with the team due to the Rams’ limited cap space. The NFL is a pass-driven league, and any wide receiver is highly coveted. The Browns certainly had a need at wide receiver. The Rams will need to provide Jared Goff some weapons if they want to set a spark to the offense. They are stepping in the right direction though with the recent signing of LT Andrew Whitworth.
