The Los Angeles Rams dropped a 17-10 defensive war to the New York Giants at Twickenham Stadium outside of London, England on Sunday, October 23. The Rams suffered their third consecutive defeat and fell to 3-4 for the season.
Los Angeles got off to a great start with an early fumble recovery that resulted in a 10-yard Tavon Austin catch from Rams quarterback Case Keenum. The Rams later added a field goal to take a 10-0 lead.
The lead was short-lived. New York answered the field goal with one of their own. They then capitalized on an Austin dropped pass when safety Landon Collins grabbed it in the air and returned it 45 yards for the touchdown.
Both teams struggled offensively going into the fourth quarter, but the Giants pulled ahead for good after yet another Rams turnover gave New York the ball in L.A. territory. New York moved downfield and eventually scored the game-winning touchdown on a Rashad Jennings 1-yard run.
Keenum completed 32 of 53 passes for 291 yards and a touchdown. He also threw four interceptions, which proved to be the decisive blow for the Rams’ hopes of winning the game.
L.A. will head home for the their bye before hosting the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, November 6.
