The Los Angeles Rams gave fans an early Christmas present at their season ticket holders practice on Friday, July 27.
Rams COO Kevin Demoff announced the team will wear its blue and yellow throwback jerseys for the final five home games of the 2018 season at the Coliseum. The Rams will wear their whites for the two preseason home games and their first two games at the Coliseum. They will don their Color Rush uniforms at San Francisco and against Kansas City in Mexico City. Los Angeles will also feature their whites for road games this season.
The move to throwbacks as the main uniform has been demanded by Rams fans since the move from St. Louis in 2016. They will now serve as the primary uniform for 2018 and 2019. Demoff also announced that new uniforms are on the way for 2020, which will coincide with the opening of the Rams’ new stadium in Inglewood.
The Rams faced plenty of ridicule last season when they attempted to wear a variation of the home St. Louis jersey with the white L.A. throwback helmets and pants. The move to the new uniforms gets another monkey off the team’s back as it moves further into the Sean McVay era.
