The Los Angeles Rams made two roster moves ahead of their divisional game at the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday, December 3, according to multiple sources. The team signed linebacker Carlos Thompson from the practice squad. To make room for Thompson, they released linebacker Ejuan Price.
Thompson entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss in 2015. He played in two games with the Texans, but Thompson spent much of his rookie season on injured reserve. Houston then cut Thompson during the 2016 preseason. He sat out the year before signing a contract with the Rams during the 2017 offseason. The Rams released him in training camp but later signed him to the practice squad.
Meanwhile, the Rams select Price in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft. The Pitt product played in one game this season for the Rams prior to his release. Price will likely join the Rams’ practice squad upon clearing waivers.
The Rams kickoff against the Cardinals on Sunday at 1:25 PT on FOX.
