Most underrated quarterbacks in Rams history

James Harris

The interesting thing about Harris is he could be considered a better QB if wasn’t so injury-prone. The Rams in the 1970s did have great teams. The only thing lacking may have been a franchise quarterback. Harris could have been the guy due to his athletic background.

One of the noticeable characteristics of Harris is his football IQ. He constantly picked apart defenses. During his 4-year stint with the Rams, he accumulated 5,220 yards, 33 touchdowns and starting only 27 games. It’s definitely disappointing seeing a player with so much talent hampered with so many injuries. The Rams quickly gave up on Harris and traded him to the San Diego Chargers in 1977.
