The Los Angeles Rams and UC Irvine announced a three-year deal to hold training camp on the college campus on Thursday, July 14. The agreement comes with a renewal option.
Various dates will be available for Rams’ fans to watch training camp for free at UC Irvine’s Crawford Field. The first public date will be Saturday, July 30 at 9:00 a.m. PT.
This isn’t the first go around for the Rams at UC Irvine. They took the field at the school for training camp three times in the 1990s, including the team’s final season in 1994. At this point, the Rams are around to stay and appear determined to build a better relationship with L.A. fans.
“We look forward to training at UCI in preparation for the 2016 season,” Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said. “Their facilities are top-notch, and we’re excited to welcome our fans to their campus as we gear up for the start of the season.”
The Rams will once again take the field as L.A.’s team against the Dallas Cowboys at home at 5:00 p.m. PT on Saturday, August 13.
