The Los Angeles Rams have agreed to a one year deal with veteran quarterback Dan Orlovsky.
Orlovsky is entering his 13th season in the NFL and the Rams will be the fifth team he’s suited up for. He’s only thrown a pass in five of his previous twelve seasons, the most notable being his seven starts for the winless 2008 Detroit Lions.
There’s a strong chance that Orlovsky’s number of seasons throwing passes stays at five. The Rams are unlikely to slide either Jared Goff or Sean Mannion into the third quarterback slot on the depth chart. Orlovsky does bring the quarterback stable some much needed experience, with Goff and Mannion having a combined three seasons of NFL experience.
Orlovsky brings the Rams to three total quarterbacks on the roster heading into training camp. The Rams begin preseason play on August 12th against the Dallas Cowboys.
