The Los Angeles Rams will sign former Buffalo Bills’ wide receiver Robert Woods when the free agency period opens, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Thursday, March 9. It’s being reported that the deal is worth $39 million over five years with $15 million guaranteed. Woods will be returning to his old stomping grounds in Los Angeles, born in nearby Gardena. He played his college football for the USC Trojans.
Woods was a second-round pick of the Bills in the 2013 NFL draft. He finishes his Bills’ career with 203 receptions for 2,451 yards and 12 touchdowns in 57 games. In 13 games last season, Woods caught 51 passes for a team-high 613 yards and a touchdown.
This move helps fill a dire need on the team after the news that their top receiver from 2016, Kenny Britt, is reportedly headed to Cleveland on a four-year deal.
