Brian Allen will likely be the new starting center on the offensive line, replacing veteran John Sullivan. The recent departure of Sullivan left big shoes to fill, but Allen is ready for the challenge. The 6’1”, 303-pound Michigan State University alum played in 13 games during the 2018 season including three postseason games.
Allen and Rams quarterback Jared Goff have also struck up quite a friendship on and off the field. They are currently trying to work together efficiently in Sullivan’s departure. Allen is only in his second year, but he learned everything he could under Sullivan’s tutelage. Offensive line coach Aaron Kromer has full confidence in Allen’s knowledge of the fundamentals and offensive plays.
There’s always a learning curve for new starters. Allen is part of the youth movement in the franchise, but more importantly, he is a solid replacement for Sullivan. Look for Allen to shine at center in 2019.
