2020 NFL Draft: Prospects to watch for the Los Angeles Rams

Cornerback

Bryce Hall

The cornerback from the Virginia Cavaliers is a good man-cover corner that can challenge a team’s best receiver. He only has 5 interceptions going into 2019, but he routinely makes plays on the ball forcing incompletions. Hall totaled 21 pass breakups in 2018.

The Alabama Crimson Tide cornerback and younger brother of Stefon Diggs showed promise in his six starts in 2018. In his first year as a starter, before a foot fracture ended his season, Diggs totaled 1 interception and six pass breakups in six games. Don’t let stats fool you, since becoming a starter, Diggs has done nothing except blanket receivers.

Mark Gilbert

The cornerback for the Duke Blue Devils would probably have been a top ten pick in 2018 had it not been for a freak dislocated hip early in 2018. Gilbert has the talent to be the best cover corner in the draft. He had offseason surgery to clean the hip up some more and is out for an undisclosed amount of time, but if medical checks out he could end up a steal. Totaled six interceptions and 15 pass breakups in 2017 and was the leader of a secondary that kept ACC quarterbacks to just 179 yards per game through the air.

Cameron Dantzler

The Mississippi State Bulldog cornerback was a forgotten name behind players like Jeffery Simmons and Jonathan Abram, but Dantzler quietly tallied 2 interceptions and 9 pass breakups in his first season as a starter. Dantzler was part of a secondary that did not allow a single touchdown in the regular season.
