Week 12 News: Both starting New Orleans Saints cornerbacks out against the L.A. Rams

The New Orleans Saints ruled out both of their starting cornerbacks ahead of their Week 12 clash at the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, November 26. Rookie Marshon Lattimore (ankle) and second-year corner Ken Crawley (abdomen) will likely be replaced by De’Vante Harris and P.J. Williams in the starting lineup.

Additionally, starting strong safety Kenny Vaccaro (groin) finished Friday listed as limited in practice with no judgment made on his status for the game. It remains possible that the Saints’ will be missing three out of four starters from the secondary.

The Saints selected Lattimore with the 11th overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft. He soon emerged as the shutdown cornerback the Saints spent years searching for. Lattimore tallied 36 tackles, one forced fumble, nines passes defended and two interceptions in 10 games.

Crawley performed well opposite of Lattimore. He recorded 30 tackles, eight passes defended and one interception prior to suffering his injury.

Rams injury news

Meanwhile, the Rams’ injury report showed no surprises. Running back Malcolm Brown (knee) and Robert Woods (shoulder) will both sit this week. The Rams listed cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman (thigh) as doubtful. Cornerback Kayvon Webster landed on the injury report as a full participant and appears ready to go.
