Johnny Hekker is arguably the best and most versatile punter in the league. His performance throughout the 2018 season spoke volumes to not only his punting ability, but his versatility as a passer, kicker and placekicker. He’s been made famous by his success in executing trick plays.

Hekker set a Super Bowl record for the longest punt at 65 yards during Super Bowl LIII. The previous punt record, ironically, was by the New England Patriots’ Ryan Allen for 64 yards in Super Bowl XLIX. Hekker has a 46.3-yard punting average with a long of 68 yards. He has earned All-Pro honors in six consecutive seasons from 2013-2018 and four Pro Bowl selections. He is also the first punter in NFL history since 1985 to make first team Pro Bowl honors. Hekker hosts a franchise record of 542 career punts.

Hekker signed with the Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2012 out of Oregon State. In his senior year, Hekker had a punting average of 44 yards on 50 punts.
