2013 First Round (30th overall): Georgia LB Alec Ogletree

Ogletree was a proven tackling master during his time with the Rams. Drafted out of Georgia by the St. Louis Rams, the 6’2,” 235-pound linebacker led in tackling for three of his five seasons with the Rams. His best season was in 2016. He ignited the defense upon the Rams’ return to Los Angeles with 136 tackles (including 98 solo tackles and nine for a loss), three quarterback hits, 11 passes defended, one forced fumble, one fumble recovered and two interceptions. For his career with the Rams, Ogletree had 503 tackles (31 tackles for a loss), 11 quarterback hits, 5.5 sacks, 43 passes defended, 12 forced fumbles, two fumbles recovered, six interceptions for 198 yards and two touchdowns.

He was selected to the 2013 NFL All-Rookie Team. That year, he had a 98-yard interception return against the Houston Texans. Ogletree was released by the Rams after the 2017 season and he was signed to the New York Giants for 2018. He had success that season with the Giants earning a career high five interceptions and two touchdowns. Ogletree regressed a bit in the 2019 season and was just released in February.

Receiver and returner Tavon Austin was also a 2013 draft pick and a strong runner-up. He was also on the 2013 NFL All-Rookie Team. Austin had 24 total touchdowns (including three punt returns for touchdowns) and 1,324 punt return yards.
