Three secret weapons for the Rams in 2019

The Los Angeles Rams are looking to repeat as NFC Champions and win their first Super Bowl since the 1999-00 season. Every team possesses some form of a secret weapon heading into the 2019 season. Here are three secret weapons on the roster heading into the 2019 season.

While most NFL fans are stuck on the fact that the Rams only scored three points in the Super Bowl, Rams fans are aware of a secret weapon that’s Kupp. Sadly, Kupp didn’t see the Super Bowl after sustaining a season-ending injury. I expect this receiving group to click like it once did, especially when Kupp finally returns to the lineup.

The Rams had three receivers on track to surpass the 1,000-yard mark, prior to Kupp’s ACL tear. Once Kupp went down in Week 10 against the Seahawks, Josh Reynolds stepped up in his place and delivered. Yet, the Rams’ passing game never felt the same without Jared Goff’s security blanket.

Kupp is expected to be ready Week one against the Carolina Panthers. Goff won’t be the only one happy about reuniting with Kupp; Brandin Cooks and Robert Woods will too. When Kupp was on the field last year, the passing offense felt like it couldn’t be stopped. Kupp, Cooks and Woods were all on track to surpass 1,000 yards, all while sharing receptions, because it was impossible for defenses to stop all three men consistently. Throwing Todd Gurley in with a little play action only made things easier for this trio too.
