The Los Angeles Rams began Day 3 of the 2021 NFL Draft by selecting Texas A&M DT Bobby Brown III 117th overall. The Rams absolutely need to address defensive line depth after the departures of Michael Brockers and Morgan Fox.

What’s particularly intriguing about Brown is his athleticism. This will allow the Rams to be verstile with his usage. He’s also a massive defensive lineman to match his speed standing at 6’4″ and weighing 325 pounds.

The reason Brown fell to the fourth round is that he needs to polish the basics. Plays a little too stiff at times. His hand placement needs work and sometimes his footwork isn’t used as efficiently as it could be. The good thing about all of these “cons” is that they are coachable.

It also doesn’t hurt that he is joining a Rams defensive line that feautures arguably the best player in the NFL in Aaron Donald. He will look to rotate with A’Shawn Robinson, Sebastian Joseph-Day and compete for playing time with Greg Gaines.
