The Los Angeles Rams switched to a 3-4 defense, meaning the quantity and type of defensive linemen needed will be different. In the case of Louis Trinca-Pasat, he’s a slightly undersized defensive lineman that’s capable of playing DE/DT. He’ll likely thrive more as a DE in this scheme.
Trinca-Pasat drew attention his rookie year during the preseason in 2015. He was on the bubble for a roster spot, but that bubble burst when the Rams cut him and placed him on the practice squad. Last year, he tore his ACL, which prematurely ended his season. He has much to prove if he wants a roster spot.
