3. Wendell Tyler

Tyler played from 1977-1982. In just 60 games Tyler showed that he was a gifted runner and receiver. During his 6-year career as a Ram, he racked up 3,266 rushing yards, 33 touchdowns, 1,147 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns.

Tyler averaged 4.4 yards per carry. He totaled 1,417 yards and 10 touchdowns during the 1979 season. In that 1979 season, Tyler helped lead the Rams to their first ever Super Bowl appearance. Ultimately, the Rams lost Super Bowl XIV to the Pittsburgh Steelers after going 9-7 in the regular season.
